Tanjazz, Tangier Jazz Festival, Morocco

In 2000, Philippe Lorin, a French publicist based in Tangier, created the Tanjazz festival, which has become the most important jazz gathering in Morocco and one of the most prominent internationally.

The main concerts take place in the Palace of Italian Institutions or Palace of the Sultan Mulay Hafid, and there are outdoor stages in different parts of the city.

In this 2022 edition, the first in which Call & Play has participated, musicians such as Avishai Cohen, Alfa Mist, Mehdi Nassouli, Youn Sun Nah Quartet, Yazz Ahmed and Monty Alexander, among others, have performed.

The mixture of modernity, reflected in a technical production of the highest level, with the traditional and slightly exotic atmosphere of the city of Tangier, has made our Tanjazz experience one of the most interesting and stimulating of 2022.
