On September 27, the rapper and activist Emicida, one of today's great Brazilian artists, presented the AmarElo tour for the first time in Europe at the Tivoli BBVA Theater in Lisbon. He was accompanied by his band made up of Michelle Lemos (guitar and vocals), Silvanny Sivuca (drums, electronic drums and percussion) and DJ Nyack (turntables and vocals).
The AmarElo album owes its origin to a concert in São Paulo, and gave rise to a documentary for Netflix, which premiered in December 2020, with the title AmarElo – Everything is for yesterday. The documentary delves into the creative process and recording of AmarElo, as well as the concert at the Municipal Theater of São Paulo in 2019, to narrate the history of Afro-Brazilian culture in the last century.
