Helmholtz and Hammond face to face

This was a very special event: the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Helmholtz organ (CV church) in Eibar, considered to be the replica of the Hammond CV.

On last November 30, musicians such as Mikel Eretxun, Kezka Dantza, Quico Puges, Iraide Ansorena, Elkano Browning Cream, Julián Maeso, Olatz Salvador and MZM (Maite Arroitajauregi, Zaloa Urain and Miren Narbaiza) gathered at the Eibar Coliseum to present a musical proposal around or accompanied by the organ.

One of the most intense moments took place when the two aforementioned organ models faced each other. The tribute to the creators of this instrumental marvel, now deceased, was also very emotional: José Luis Elorza Chinchurreta and the brothers José and Jesús Ibaceta Arrate.

The meeting could not be missed by Call & Play Euskadi, which provided the instruments for the base band.

The great success of the event has left the door open to repeat it in the future. We hope so.
