Maria del Mar Bonet opens the Barcelona Jazz Festival

Maria de Mar Bonet has inaugurated the Barcelona International Jazz Festival together with the Big Band Begues, on October 20, at the Palau de la Música, with the collaboration of the producer and arranger Toni Cuenca, who is also the musical director of the project.

It was the first time that the artist performed within this festival, and she has done so by offering a very special recital, mixing the Mediterranean mood with jazz and swing, and interpreting some songs by Bonet de San Pedro, one of the greats of the Majorcan popular music.
