Rock in Rio Lisboa, 20 years in Portugal

In 1985 Roberto Medina organized the first Rock in Rio in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2004 the first Rock in Rio Lisboa was held in the Parque da Bel Vista. In 2024, the 10th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa took place, with which it celebrated its 20th anniversary in Portugal (since the event is biannual), inaugurating the new City of Rock, in the Parque Tejo Lisboa, with the Tagus and the Vasco da Gama Bridge as a background setting.

It has had an impressive lineup, which included big national and international names such as Xutos & Pontapés with the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, Scorpions, Evanescence, Ed Sheeran, Calum Scott, Ivete Sangalo, Jonas Brothers, Doja Cat, Ne-Yo, among many others.  

During June 15, 16, 22 and 23, 2024, the festival welcomed 300,000 national and international visitors from 106 countries. Many teams worked to make everything go well: more than 350 companies (including Call & Play, backline provider) and 14,500 accredited people.
