The fourth edition of Las Noches del Botánio has once again brought together important national and international artists together with new musical talents. This year, the festival, which has already become a musical reference for Madrid’s summer nights, has had 34 concerts between June 20 and July 31.
On July 5, it was The Roots’ turn. Call & Play was in charge of accompanying the mythical band with the backline and stage equipment in a concert of more than 2 hours where each of its musicians had space for improvisation, bringing instrumental rap to the maximum exponent.
The Philadelphia line-up lived up to the expectation created by playing in Madrid for the very first time. With 30 years on the stage being leaders of hip-hop, the 11 members of the band combined jazz, rap, soul, funk and disco touches to turn the Alfonso XIII Royal Botanical Garden into a huge party.
